Day 125: Mama & Mia (to be)

The main reason for our trip from Shanghai to the United States is to be here for the birth of our first grandchild. We found out that our daughter was expecting shortly after we accepted the 3 year assignment to China and now, 39 weeks later, we are in Boise, Idaho awaiting the arrival of Mia. Hannah and Mike have prepared well and wait, less patiently than the grandparents, but even more excitedly. Last night, Hannah demonstrated how to wrap the baby against her chest so that she can operate with both hands without lying the baby down. We aren’t too excited!

Day Forty-seven: MIA

Another day in Boise; after a quick trip to Java in Hyde Park for confetti eggs and a drive past the State Capital Building for a quick picture–it’s my favorite building in Idaho– I spent the balance of time helping Hannah decorate Mia’s nursery.
