Travel days always make taking pictures a challenge. Mornings are spent getting packed, afternoons are in transit and it’s late by the time we check into the hotel; unpack, eat dinner and the day is pretty well over. Shooting pictures of the passing countryside through thick, gritty air at 300 kmh can be an exercise in futility.
A setting sun is not a common sight, at least not during my six months living here. This was shot at the railway station in Jinan, China, the last stop the bullet train makes before Beijing (270 miles south of Beijing). With my camera packed away, I used my Nokia Lumia 920.
