Tuesday night is trivia night in Shanghai! At least at The Camel sports bar in Pudong. The Camel is an Irish pub with a decidedly UK-expat clientele. Our team, a group of ex-Apple employees, leans heavily to UK citizens which is great for all those pesky history, geography, music and film questions that aren’t American-centric. The one drawback to this fun evening is Shanghai’s unenforced no smoking ordinance that means we leave the bar smelling like an ashtray; we get so much smoke embedded in our clothes that when we return home the Blue Air Filter kicks into high within minutes of entering the apartment and runs that way until we throw our clothes into the hamper. Last night, the guy at 12 o’clock in this picture was smoking a fat cigar in the bar. Melinda wouldn’t let me take it out of his mouth and stick it in his wine glass.
