Are You Going to Eat That?

There is small, western-style grocery two blocks down from our apartment where you can find American, French, German, Korean, Australian and other non-Chinese foods. Last week, I got some Tyson's Chicken tenders. I went back on 11-17 to buy more, but the date on the packages was 11-13; I dug around the back of the meat case and found some from 11-15, but none that hadn't expired, so I didn't buy anything. I did get Orange Juice. After getting home and drinking some I noticed the sell by date was July 19, 2013. Food safety is definitely an issue over here and not something the Chinese government, not citizens take seriously.
