Day Seventy-six: Spring

Day Seventy-six-2 St. Patrick’s Day in Shanghai was everything New York’s isn’t: sunny, warm and un-celebrated. Aside from a few expat bars participating in an old-fashioned pub crawl the holiday passes unnoticed. As it should be in China. Today’s temperature hit 23 C–73 F– and was the first time you could venture outside without a jacket; kids are popping up all over the place on bikes and skateboards, and I even saw a couple of them tossing a baseball. Here a grandfather plays with his grandson in the apartment courtyard among drying clothes and a freshly washed scooter.

  1. Are you getting good at converting Celsius to Farenheit? I think I would struggle with that more than the money conversion. No one at my office is even wearing green today! Don’t worry, I am and we are having Corned Beef & Cabbage at the Sharp house for dinner. YUCK. ;)

    • I can convert money easily–divide by 6– and miles–multiply by 1.6–but temps really hard and complicated so I use an app. I know that 12 is cool, 20 is warm and 40 is really really hot. ;-) I’m so proud of you cooking and looking Irish! I wore my Sounders green jersey today. Love you!

  2. Hello! Do you know if they make any plugins to assist with Search Engine Optimization? I’m trying to
get my blog to rank for some targeted keywords but I’m
not seeing very good success. If you know of any please share.
    Cheers!
